Abu Dhabi has launched housing projects worth over Dhs7 billion, aimed at providing citizens with 1,742 residential villas. The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority revealed that the projects will be located in West Baniyas and Al Samha.
The West Baniyas residential project involves the construction of 1,500 villas, along with the development of infrastructure, gardens, public facilities, and services. Additionally, eight mosques and 14 commercial buildings will be built. Spanning across 584.7 hectares of land, the project is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2027, with a total cost exceeding Dhs6.3 billion.
In the Al Samha region, the housing project comprises 242 residential villas. The development will also include various infrastructure works, two mosques, and a selection of retail units. Covering an area of 53.4 hectares, the project is scheduled for completion by the fourth quarter of 2025, with a total cost surpassing Dhs734 million.
To carry out these projects, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has signed agreements with Q Holding, which will be responsible for the design and implementation of both developments.
Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, the chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, as well as the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, emphasized that these contracts align with the leadership’s vision to ensure stability and social well-being for citizens by creating integrated and sustainable housing communities that cater to their needs.
Al Shorafa highlighted the authority’s commitment to forging partnerships with both the government and private sectors, aiming to develop innovative solutions that address the housing sector’s social priorities in Abu Dhabi.
In related news, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, inaugurated the expansion of the Al Falah housing project. This expansion provides 899 new homes to citizens, costing over Dhs1.92 billion.
